Federal Research Coordination

NTP facilitates coordination across federal agencies to effectively address emerging and contemporary toxicological issues that brings together multidisciplinary perspectives and expertise. Participation in specific NTP initiatives may extend beyond the three core partners through the establishment of NTP-coordinated work groups, which include other federal agencies, to share information, identify research needs and opportunities, and avoid duplication. These work groups serve as a focal point for coordinated efforts on complementary activities/interests and science/knowledge generation to address environmental health issues of concern. Through communication and coordination, NTP fosters collaborations that enable identification of thoughtful, synergistic approaches for tackling the most pressing issues in toxicology science.
